Frequently Asked Questions

Do You Accept Child Care Assistance?

Yes! We accept childcare assistance from both Illinois and Iowa. Our staff can assist in you in completing an application and work with you to ensure all application materials are submitted.

I Am Looking to Find Care for my Child, What Do I Do Now?

Give us a call! We are more than happy to answer any questions you might have. We can also schedule a tour to allow you to view our classrooms and meet the staff. If our center is a good fit for your family, we ask that you pay a $30 non-refundable enrollment fee to hold a spot on our waiting list for your child. Together we will determine a start date that works best for your family based on our availability.

What Ages Do You Accommodate?

We provide care for children as early as 6 weeks old until they are eligible for kindergarten.

What Will My Child Learn?

Our center uses the Creative Curriculum in all of our classrooms. This curriculum is a play-based framework that emphasizes the role of the teacher, environment, and materials and to support children's learning and development. The Creative Curriculum aligns with the Illinois Early Learning & Development Guidelines (for birth-2 years old) and the Illinois Early Learning Standards (for 3-5 year olds). Creative Curriculum incorporates daily routines and guides educators to holistically educate the children in our care. The teachers complete weekly lesson plans that incorporate the Creative Curriculum with children's current interests. We offer families the opportunity to meet at least twice a year with teachers.

How Do You Deal With Challenging Behaviors?

We use Conscious Discipline in our center to help provide appropriate choices and redirection to children. Conscious Discipline techniques help teach grown-ups and children how to monitor their own behavior and be accountable for their actions and reactions. Children are taught skills and techniques through positive interactions, stories, lessons, guided practice, and group games.

What Are Your Rates?

While we gladly accept child care  assistance for families that qualify, we also have a private pay scale for families that do not qualify. Please, contact us for more details.

What Kind of Family Involvement Do You Provide?

We have an open door policy. Parents are welcome to stop by and/or call whenever they'd like. We offer monthly events for all families to attend. From a fall festival to magicians, to family dinner, our child care center seeks to involve the whole family. We also have at least a monthly field trip. Parents are encouraged to volunteer their assistance. Lastly, our pre-k classes love to have parent volunteers come in to show the class a demonstration, read them a story, or to tell them about their job.

I'm Interested, What Do I Do Next?
Please, give us a call so we can answer any other questions that you may have. We also advise that you set up a tour at a time that's convenient for you and your family. Please, bring the kids along so they can also see how they feel about the environment. Then we will go from there!
